ぶらり谷中氷散歩 Walking around Yanaka

GWも最終日。
東京は気持ちのいい青空。

先日、友人と谷中散歩に出かけた。
商店街は昔からやっているお店もあれば、観光客向けの新しげなお店もある。

さて、本日の目的「かき氷」である。
最近は１年中氷を出すお店もある。ここもその１つ。
３人で行ったのだが、それぞれひみつのいちごみるく、甘夏、うぐいす桜を注文。
日光天然氷蔵元・三ツ星氷室さんの天然氷を使ったかき氷はふわふわ。

中でも友人が頼んでいた期間限定のうぐいす桜が想像を超える美味しさだった。
中に入っているうぐいす餡の塩気と、桜の香りがついたシロップのバランスがいい。
いちごは口の中に香りが残り、甘夏は苦みもほどよくあり爽やかな味わい。
これから暑くなれば、体がもっと美味しく感じるだろう。

I went to Yanaka area with my friends to eat Kakigori (shaved ice).
The nearest station is JR Nippori or Sendagi (Chiyoda Line).
You will find many small shops in “shitamachi” atmosphere where reminiscent of past decades of Tokyo.

At Kakigori shop named “Himitsudo”, we each ate Ichigomilk (strawberry milk), Amanatsu (sweet summer mikan) and Uguisu-sakura (cherry flavored syrup with bean paste). They’re using natural ice of Nikko. So fluffy ice and syrups are really fresh taste!!  I’m sure it’ll be more tasty if I eat them in hot summer…
