新しいもの、変わらないもの。New things and usual things.

久しぶりに赤坂を歩いた。
古い街だが、久々に行くと老舗が消え、新しいお店が増えていた。
移り変わりが激しいですなぁ。
変わらないものでは、100年以上続く老舗の和菓子屋さんに今日も何人か並んでいた。
ついふらっと、己も並んでしまう。看板商品の豆大福を１個だけ買う。
相変わらずニコリともしないおばちゃんも、なんだか懐かしい。
その足でもう一軒、老舗のパン屋「長野ベーカリー」へ寄る。
ここは創業1948年。ランチ時にはお惣菜パンがケースの中にずらりと並ぶ。
揚げたてのコロッケパンは大変美味しい。幼少の頃からコロッケパンが苦手だった私が初めて「う、うまい。」と唸った一品である。
さくさくの衣とお芋たっぷりのコロッケが、少し甘めのシンプルなパンに合う。
他に小さいフランスパンに、明太子とバターがたっぷり入った明太フランスや、カレーパンもおすすめだ。
ここはお店のおばちゃんもすてきだ。たまたま合計金額が「777円」だった時があり、「すごいね、良かったねー」と嬉しそうに言われ、なんだか得した気分になった。
さて、今日はあまり買った事の無いものにチャレンジ。ドーナツと黒豆きなこコッペ。
新しいものも新鮮で楽しいけれど、「いつもの物」があることも、通う楽しみになる。
どちらもバランスよくあるのが、良い街なのかもしれない。
I walked Akasaka area today. My previous workplace is in this area. So I was busy looking around because I came here for the first time in a long while. I have found that some new shops appeared but on the other hand, long-established shop closed. I think the face of the street was changing very fast.
However, I saw that a couple of people lined up in front of the shop which is well-established Japanese sweet shop following more than 100 years. I got in line and bought a “mamedaifuku” (rice cake stuffed with salt-seasoned bean paste).
I stopped by long-established bakery shop “Nagano Bakery” after that. They have many kinds of sandwiches and sand buns.
I bought a donut and a roasted-soybean-powdered paste sand bun today.
New things are very interesting but I like “usual” things, too. I’ll visit to long-established shop ‘cause I know that I can get my favorite usual thing at there.
I think it may be said that it is a good town to be mixed in a good balance both new shops and well-established shops.
